This is an age-appropriate oral health care model that identifies the opportunity to promote healthy behaviors at the point of care. The practice model is developed to teach this alternative way of rendering oral and dental health care to families, caregivers and health professionals to help caregivers to establish an effective routine of brushing the teeth of infants and toddlers promptly after dining; encourage more dental providers to endear one-year-old patient populations; help reduce the incidence of early childhood caries; and empower caregivers, dentists and other dental professionals.
