Janine Fredericks-Younger, DMD, is an associate professor in the department of restorative dentistry and an associate dean for graduate programs at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). She ensures program compliance with CODA accreditation standards, oversees the PG Core curriculum and works with program directors to monitor program outcomes and student achievement. Dr. Fredericks-Younger is the chief clinical officer for the Opioid Analgesic Reduction study (OARS), a NIH-supported grant at RSDM. In this role, she has collaboratively created OARS protocols, consents, data collection instruments and workflows, as well as negotiated the intricacies of federal regulatory bodies, including the FDA and DEA.
