Dr. Shick is a Pediatric Dentist who completed her DDS, Residency in Pediatric Dentistry and Masters of Public Health degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been on faculty at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine since 2009. Her work focuses on finding locally sustainable solutions to reduce oral health in equalities and she has worked extensively in Guatemala. She works on a national level promoting best practices in global health in dental education and is the founding Chair of the Global Health Workgroup of the American Dental Education Association. She also engages in oral health advocacy with FDI World Dental Federation and is a member of FDI's Public Health Committee.
