Tawana K. Ware, DDS, MSD, FACD, FICD is a board-certified pediatric dentist and former National Health Corps Dental Scholar, dedicated to advancing children’s oral health. A native of Greenville, Mississippi, and an Army brat, she brings a diverse background to her work. Dr. Ware served in practices as an associate pediatric dentist at Dr. J Pediatric Dentistry and serves as volunteer faculty at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College, where she was honored with Omicron Kappa Upsilon membership, and her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Master of Science in Dentistry from Indiana University. Dr. Ware has been recognized with the Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award and as Outstanding Woman Faculty Leader. She has also served as Chair of the ADEA Sections on Minority Affairs and Pediatric Dentistry, and is a past president of the American Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Ware is an active civic leader serving on the Board of Trustees at Agnes Scot College, a published author, living with her husband, Dr. Jermaine Ware, and their daughter, Nasya.
