Janine Fredericks-Younger, DMD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). She serves as the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, providing central support for RSDM’s advanced dental education programs. She ensures program compliance with CODA accreditation standards, oversees the PG Core curriculum, and works with program directors to monitor program outcomes and student achievement.
Dr. Fredericks-Younger is actively engaged in clinical research and serves as the Chief Clinical Officer for the Opioid Analgesic Reduction study (OARS), a NIH supported grant at RSDM. In this role, she has collaboratively created OARS protocols, consents, data collection instruments and workflows, as well as negotiated the intricacies of federal regulatory bodies, including the FDA and DEA. She led the Clinical Protocol Coordinating Core, which was responsible for acquisition, packing, tracking, and destruction of all study IP as well as all study devices, including the electronic medication bottles and wearable activity monitors.
